Shakespeare in the Square
Shakespeare in the Square, first presented in 2005, was inspired by the original open-air Shakespearean theaters of England and the annual community events that take place in Medina’s historical district. Stage Left presents Shakespeare in the Square annually every August in the Uptown Park. Our mission is to enrich the cultural environment of the community and make the works of William Shakespeare relevant and engaging for our audiences.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the drama and excitement of live theatre. Stage Left is dedicated to providing quality entertainment that is accessible and proudly presents Shakespeare in the Square FREE of charge. By doing so SLTC hopes to encourage an awareness and appreciation of theatre and Shakespeare’s works.
Stage Left Theatre Company is proud to present Shakespeare in the Square to the community free of charge. If you would like to help support this event any contribution (tax deductible) is greatly appreciated.
Stage Left would like to acknowledge the organizations that help make Shakespeare in the Square 2010 possible. Thank you for your support.
